Cartoons in my childhood

When I was a child, I used to watch a lot of cartoons. I didn’t have cable tv so I could only watch cartoons on national TV channels. I remember watching The Simpsons around 7 o’clock and I hated when soap operas started because I wanted to keep watching my cartoons.

Also, I was always excited waiting for the weekend, because those days in the morning most of the national TV channels used to be children's programming. That was the moment when I was able to watch some cartoons from channels like Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Jetix (I’m sure now have a different name). Series like “Courage the Cowardly Dog”,”SpongeBob SquarePants”, “Dexter's Laboratory”, “Codename: Kids Next Door”, “The Powerpuff Girls”, and a lot more.

Then, when I grew up, Chilevision began a new show, “Invasion”, where I watched a lot of anime series. That was my first rapprochement with Japanese cartoons and I remember it was so fun to watch new character designs compared to what I used to watch.

It’s important to highlight that I’m still watching The Simpsons and I’m a big fan of everything about the series.
